Richard “Richie” Arlen Jones, Jr., 48, of Richland, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 4, 2020.
Richie was born in Baton Rouge, LA on September 30, 1972, to Richard Arlen Jones and Cynthia Dale Bobo McDowell. He worked at Mississippi Music for 25 years. Richie was the president of the Hellfighters Jackson, MS chapter. He loved Ole Miss and Dallas Cowboys football. Richie started playing the drums when he was around 12 years old and played all over the Jackson area for years. Richie played in Fade to the Blue and for over 10 years in Yankee Station. He loved spending times with his family and leading others towards the love of Jesus where he served along his brothers with the Hellfighters.
He is preceded in death by a brother, Joshua Randall Jones; grandparents, Gromer and Juanita Bobo and Hansel and Lavada Jones; and father-in-law, George Buddy Dennison.
Richie is survived by his wife of 21 years, Angie Dennison Jones; children, Matthew Dennison wife Laurel Li, Adam Dennison wife Desirae, David Dennison, Noah Dale Jones, and Joshua Brennan Jones; father, Richard Arlen Jones of Crystal Springs, MS ; mother, Cynthia McDowell and step-father Johnny McDowell of Mendenhall, MS; siblings, Rebecca Jones Brown and husband Donnie Brown of Brandon,Ms., Tess McDowell Conner, and Seth McDowell; mother-in-law, Vicki Dennison; brothers-in-law, Tim S. Dennison (Amy) and Randy Dennison (Penny); aunts, Gloria Hill (John), Barbara Sue Jones, Janet Jones, and Bettye Jones; nieces and nephew Gracie Brown, Hannah Brown, Emma Dean Brown, Jacob Conner, Anna Conner, Laney Dennison, and Morgan Keys; and many cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
